NEON SIGNS
Neon signs are an art in themselves. They are used to aid your trade and this is what is thought in a class of commerce! It is simply a glowing tube which is made of materials such as neon or a glass bender.
Making a neon sign is simple. All you need is a hollow tube of about four to eight feet in length. You need pressurized air and high heat in the tube. The glass can work with temperatures from 1600′F to over 2200′F. While the temperature is cold the tubes are scored partially scored and they can be broken apart when they are red hot. The neon bender is used to create the angles and curve combinations for the tube. Following this is the bombarding stage, where processing of tubes is done. The tube is emptied of the air contained in it.
Red is the color neon gas has it glows with its characteristics – a red light even at atmospheric pressure. In order to generate other colors the process of argon, phosphorus and mercury must be involved which is able to produce as much as 600 colors. The mercury spectrum of the neon light is rich UV light which in turn excites a phosphorus coating on the inside of the tube to glow.
There are many benefits to a neon sign. Neon signs are a most effective way used to advertise products. They are a cost effective alternative to flyers and bill boards. Neon sign discharges electricity at the normal current and voltage, therefore saves energy. Neon lights are visible in daylight
